After 2 years of delays, he finally got to the start line of his expedition to row the Northwest Passage. Why would anyone want to row from the eastern coast of Canada, over the top into the Arctic Circle then on to the west coast of Alaska? Even in August it sounded horrendous: bitterly cold, rough seas and high winds. Plus an unwelcome encounter with a polar bear (and Great White sharks). Leven and his crew are tough as nails.
